A free program, Fall Is For Planting!, is taking place Wednesday, November 9th, 2022, from 1 to 2 p.m., at Matthews Library, 230 Matthews Station Street, Matthews, NC. It will be in the Community Room.
This event is free to attend, but registration is required.
Fall is for planting, selecting, and maintaining woody ornamentals! Join local gardener Hallie Walker to learn how to make a good selection, plant it properly and keep it healthy.
Hallie served as a North Carolina Extension Master Gardener volunteer for 14 years and is a member of the Native Plant Society of North Carolina. She is currently pursuing a certificate for Native Plant studies through UNCC. Her garden in Weddington, North Carolina is a registered Native Plant Habitat, and she has gardened in the area for 30 years.
This program will take place indoors at the Matthews Library. Face coverings are strongly encouraged for both participants and staff. Indoor programs will be operating at a reduced attendance capacity and will include social distancing based on the library space.
