Every Wednesday and Friday at 12 p.m., there’s a free walking tour at Camp North End, 1824 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte.
The tours are currently scheduled through July 1st, 2022, but they regularly get extended.
To attend, you need to RSVP on Eventbrite.
Camp North End is one of the largest adaptive reuse projects in the country. The 76-acre, historic industrial site was used in the past as a Model T factory and a U.S. Army Quartermaster Depot. There’s an old boiler room and a water tower that’s become an iconic landmark.
Today, Camp North End is home to music, art, shopping, offices, studios, and great spots for food and drink.
The tour starts at the water tower and ends at the food stalls, where you can grab lunch.
