St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, at 115 West 7th at North Tryon Street, is hosting free Center City Concerts the third Monday of every month from September 2015 through May 2016. The concerts take place at noon. On some dates there will also be an evening concert.
Free parking is available in the TransAmerica Building parking deck across 7th Street from St. Peter’s (look for the big blue “P”). If you park there, the ticket machine will provide a ticket to be validated at St. Peter’s in order to exit the deck at no charge.
October 19, 2015 – Bechtler Ensemble Piano Trio – Pianist Cynthia Lawing, violinist Joseph Meyer, and cellist Tanja Bechtler. Noon
November 16, 2015 –Lois Deloatch Jazz Ensemble – Jazz vocalist Lois Deloatch, joined by her instrumental trio for a program of jazz, blues, and spirituals. Noon.
January 18, 2016 – The Benedict College Gospel Choir in a program of gospels and spirituals in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Noon.
February 15, 2016 – A.W. Duo – Chamber music with guest soprano Ariadne Greif. Noon.
March 21, 2016 – Lake Norman Choral Artists with the NCBO Chamber Players performing a program of Bach cantatas and Brandenburg concertos on period instruments. Noon.
May 16, 2016 – NC Brass Band Quintet – Original music for brass, orchestral transcriptions, Broadway, jazz and more. Noon.
