Residents of Charlotte and surrounding communities can get their child car seats checked for free through the Safe Kids program. Many car seats are not installed properly and these safety checks will let you know that you’re using the right car seat for your child and that it’s being used correctly. It goes without saying that you should always use a car seat for your child, even if you’re just driving a mile. When you go to a car seat safety check, bring your child with you and expect to spend about 20 minutes.
Here are some locations and times for the checks, but they can change so make sure to verify on the Safe Kids website.
