All educators are invited to visit any Discovery Place museum for free on Saturdays in September. That includes Discovery Place, Charlotte Nature Museum, Discovery Place KIDS-Huntersville and Discovery Place KIDS-Rockingham. Just register at the admissions desk with your school ID and you’ll be admitted with one guest. Learn how your students can benefit from the museums’ offerings. You will receive a packet of goodies including the new Educator Guides, special coupons and a chance to win a free field trip for your class (transportation not included).
Stop by Discovery Place Education Studio between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to learn about new course offerings and register to win a free professional development course. During your visit, enjoy an IMAX screening of Great White Shark or Mysteries of the Unseen World for just $5 per person.
Educators who teach at any level are welcome. The promotion is intended for educators and school administrators for grades PreK-12 since the classes they offer are for those grades, but they won’t turn away any higher education professors or other educators who want to come and can show a form of ID.
Homeschool educators are included in this invitation too. Just bring your NCDNPE homeschool certificate. South Carolina homeschoolers are welcome too! Just bring a comparable form of documentation demonstrating your homeschooling status.
