Charlotte Dragon Boat Races Festival and Asian Festival takes place at Ramsey Creek Park, 18441 Nantz Road, Cornelius, NC, on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is free.
This popular annual event features the racing of colorful dragon boats by various local teams, and a cultural festival with vendor booths, performances and food stands.
There’s no parking for the festival at Ramsey Creek Park. Park at 8900 North Pointe Executive Park, Huntersville, NC. The lot opens to festival visitors at 9 a.m., with free shuttle service.
Dragon Boat and Asian Festival Schedule
- 9 a.m.: Dragon Boat Race first heat
- 10 a.m.: Opening of CAACC Tent
- 10:15 a.m.: Parade of Nations
- 11 a.m.: Festival Opening Ceremony
- 11 a.m.: Opening of Cultural Showcase
- 11 a.m.: Dragon Boat Race second heat
- 11:30 a.m.: Sreet Show
- 12 p.m.: “Search for the best” of Asian Festival Performing Arts
- 1:30 p.m.: Dragon Boat Race finals
- 2 p.m.: Cultural Program
- 4 p.m.: Awards and Trophies for “Search for the best”
- 4:30 p.m.: Dragon Boat Race Awards Ceremony
- 4:55 p.m.: Closing Remarks
