May is Bike Month, a nationwide celebration of biking. To coincide with Bike Month, WeeklyRides.com is working with the City of Charlotte to BIKE CHARLOTTE events. There will be fun events (many free) all through the month of May. The events are offered by a variety of organizations and businesses.
We will also include Bike Month events that are not part of BIKE CHARLOTTE.

We will breakdown and process bikes for parts reuse and metal recycling. These parts will go to rebuild bikes for our ride program fleets, our youth Earn-A-Bike bikes, and our bikes offered to the community through the Charlotte Re-Cyclery!
No experience is necessary as we explore the basic tools needed to disassemble a bike. The event will begin with a brief clinic on understanding the bicycle systems and how to take them apart, so be sure to be there on time! If you are younger than 16 years old, you must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Interested in participating? RSVPs are highly encouraged but not required.
