
Gaston County Museum, 131 Main Street, Dallas, is hosting a Day of the Dead Celebration on Saturday, November 5th, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This family-friendly celebration is free to attend.
Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican holiday in which participants remember and pray for their friends and family members who have passed away. The holiday features altars to loved ones and brightly painted sugar skulls.

There will be:
- Live music
- Food
- Crafts
- Traditional dancing
- Games
- Bounce houses
- A public ofrenda
- More

Led by DJ Anthony, this year’s schedule features performances by:
- Iliana Rose Cuban Jazz Band
- Blind Difference, Maria Elena Valdez: La Reina del Mariachi, teaching artists Criss Cross Mangosauce
- La Nueva Sensacion
- Traditional dancers from St. Michael’s Latin Outreach.
The Museum welcomes any and all guests to use to honor their loved ones with pictures and offerings.
The Museum will also be featuring three bilingual exhibits during the festival:
- Somos Dia a Dia
- ¡Pa’delante Juntes! Forward Together!
- Into the Dark Room / En el cuarto oscuro.
