Ada Jenkins Center is holding a Juneteenth Celebration on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Ada Jenkins Center, 212 Gamble Street, Davidson.
Juneteenth celebrates the emancipation of African Americans. There are many Juneteenth celebrations throughout the Charlotte area.

The first 300 guests will receive a free meal.
This year, the event will be held mostly indoors throughout our entire campus and will have a much heavier emphasis on education as it relates to the historic African American communities in the LKN area.
This FREE celebration and family day includes:
- Simulated “neighborhood tour”
- Indoor crafts and activities
- DJ and artistic performances
- Non-profit + For-profit vendors
- A focus on Black-owned businesses
- Dessert stands
- Kids Zone (weather permitting)
