
Mint Museum Uptown, 500 S Tryon Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, is hosting an exhibition, Corey Pemberton: Living Well, from September 19, 2026, to January 31, 2027.
The exhibition includes more than 70 works spanning painting, collage, blown glass sculpture, quilts and fiber arts. Each piece made by Los Angeles-based artist Corey Pemberton stands on its own, but together creates a layered portrait of lived experience.

The public is invited to the opening day celebration for this exhibition on September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s free to attend.
Join in the public opening celebration of Corey Pemberton: Living Well. The day’s events include a vendor market, demonstrations, and a panel discussion with Corey Pemberton, all brought to you by Crafting the Future and DUPP&SWATT.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Vendor market and artist demonstrations.
1 to 2:30 p.m.: Panel Discusion–Making a way. What does it take to build a creative life?
Artists, including Corey Pemberton and Cedric Mitchell, discuss the challenges, opportunities, and strategies involved in building a life around their practice. Through candid conversation, the panel will examine artistic labor, entrepreneurship, cultural identity, and the unique realities of working as an artist of color in America.
The public opening is organized by Crafting the Future.
