Want to go tubing without the fake snow and long drive? Try The Chutes at Crowders Springs, at 4914 Linwood Road, Gastonia, North Carolina.
The Chutes is a fundraiser for Crowders Ridge Camp. It features three 200-foot lanes of tubing. A tow-line brings your tube back up to the top.
The experience also includes campfires and winter lights, with concessions available.
There are three Chutes sessions a night, at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 8 p.m., with a maximum of 50 people per session.
Dates:
- Saturdays from November 30 to December 14, 2024
- Fridays and Saturdays from December 20, 2024, to January 11, 2025
- Saturdays from January 18 to March 1, 2025
An hour of tubing costs $25 per person for an hour of tubing.
However, right now there’s a Groupon that will save you money through January 15, 2025. The cost is:
- $20 for one person (save 20%)
- $39 for two people (save 22%)
- $75 for four people (save 25%)
