
Chinese Storytime is hosting a special Chinese New Year Storytime for kids. This free event is on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at SouthPark Regional Library, 7015 Carnegie Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Please RSVP here. RSVPs are required and space is limited.
The program is designed for ages 3-9. Siblings are welcome. Parents must stay with their children.
This event features Chinese stories, music, movement and a special “Year of the Horse” art activity.
Program Highlights:
- Chinese New Year introduction (short & kid-friendly)
- Storytime: Lunar New Year traditions + the story of Nian (年兽)
- Learn Chinese New Year vocabulary and simple Chinese numbers
- Interactive songs, movement activities, and scarf dance
- Special Guest Artist – Ms. Wang — A local artist, Ms. Wang, will lead children in a fun and creative horse-drawing art workshop inspired by Lunar New Year traditions.
