92nd Annual Chiefs Cup Baseball Game Sept. 12

Knothole Foundation is partnering with Salute to Heroes Charlotte Foundation to host the 92nd Annual Charlotte Chief’s Cup Game on September 12, 2062, at Richard “Stick” Williams Dream Fields, 7531 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte, North Carolina.

First pitch is at 7:04 p.m. The game is free to attend.

This historic game will feature the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD Blue Hornets) against the Charlotte Fire Department (CFD Blaze) baseball teams in an exciting nine-inning game. This historic game dates back to the 1930s in Charlotte, NC and is returning to the Queen City for the first time since 2021.

Gates to this FREE family-friendly event will open at 6:00 p.m.

Food trucks will be on site, and beer will be available for purchase. Donations are welcome.

As part of this year’s event, the Salute to Heroes Charlotte Foundation will be accepting donations throughout the evening to continue its mission to help support first responders. Additionally, fans will want to come hungry and thirsty as many delicious food options and drinks will be available to purchase.

A longstanding tradition celebrating community, competition and the connection between baseball and local leadership, the Charlotte Chief’s Cup Game will once again bring together players, families, community members and supporters for a special day at the ballpark. This year’s event will also honor the 25th Anniversary of September 11th with members of both baseball teams from the 2001 teams on hand.
