What is Charlotte SHOUT?
Charlotte SHOUT is an annual festival in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, that features art, music, food and ideas. It takes place from April 3 to 19, 2026, with more than 200 events and attractions.
Many of the activities and performances are free, and many are well-suited for the younger members of the family.
Where is Charlotte SHOUT?
Charlotte SHOUT takes place at multiple venues, both indoor and outdoor, in Uptown Charlotte. All are within a few walkable blocks of each other. Most of the activities are from around 7th Street (From Tryon to Brevard) and Levine Avenue of the Arts (which is between S Tryon and S Church Street, between Bechtler Museum and Mint Museum.)

First Ward Park

Main stage for outdoor performances. Lots of large, interactive art installations, perfect for kids. Performances and festivals-within-a-festival like Soul Junction, Kids’ Market, Mo Betta SHOUT!, Gospel Sunday, SHOUT! Showcase, and CLT Edgefest. Kids and their families can support other kids at the Charlotte Kids Market on April 4 and 11 at the beautiful First Ward Park in Uptown Charlotte during Charlotte SHOUT! Kids gain real-world, hands-on experience, learning money management, customer service, and problem-solving skills, all while discovering the excitement of running their own business in a fun and supportive environment.
