There are several annual festivals in the Charlotte area to look forward to the next couple months. Here’s a list of some of the biggest 2019 winter festivals in the Charlotte area from January to March. Make sure to follow each link for the necessary details.
January 27th, 2019
The Oasis Shriners, 604 Doug Mayes Place
Celebrate the Year of the Pig at this celebration of the Lunar New Year. There will be performances of Vietnamese music and dance, as well as pageants, games and food.
February 1st to 2rd, 2019
St. Joseph Vietnamese Catholic Church, 4929 Sandy Porter Road
This Vietnamese New Year celebration also boasts cultural performances but the focus is on food, with more than 90 dishes available for purchase.
February 2nd, 2019
Fillmore Charlotte and , 820 Hamilton Street
15 regional breweries and over 50 beers, coffee and pub grub, as well as live music and games. Proceeds from the festival benefits ACE Autism, which uses tennis to help improve the life of autistic children.
$45 for the 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. session
February 2nd, 2019
The Peaceful Dragon, 1210 Steele Creek Road
See the ceremonial Lion Dance and Dragon Dance. Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Yoga demonstrations, traditional Chinese dance and music. Experts will also exhibit feng shui, calligraphy, acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Kids can participate in face painting, arts and crafts, and other fun activities. Mini-classes for adults and kids.

Latta Plantation Nature Preserve, 6211 Sample Road, Huntersville
Kids build fairy houses and gnome homes in the forest. Also storytelling, crafts, activities, games, food.

Cabarrus Arena & Events Center, 4751 NC Highway 49 North, Concord
Free (there might be a charge for parking)
Over 600 alpacas are registered from all over the country participating in the Halter Show. An assortment of educational seminars and classes are available to the public for their enjoyment. Also watch live demonstrations of spinning and other fiber crafts, and shop for alpaca fleece products.

The Latin American Coalition is proud to bring once again the contagious energy and enthusiasm of Brazilian Carnaval to Charlotte with A Night in Rio. Get a taste of Carnaval through dancing, live music, authentic food, drinks and marketplace.
February 9th to March 2rd, 2019

The two-week festival celebrates Jewish film-makers and films with Jewish themes. There will be screenings of over 25 short and feature length films, workshops, expert panels and Q&A sessions with directors, screenwriters and actors.
All festival pass is $110 if purchased by January 15.
March 1-2, 2019
Charlotte Convention Center, 501 South College Street
The 2016 CIAA Toyota Fan Fest will feature celebrity meet-n-greet/performances, a Miller Coors 3 on 3 basketball tournament, interactive games, prize-pack giveaways, retail vendors, the social media hub and free Wi-Fi to all attendees.
