Women’s Pro Basketball returns to Charlotte! Charlotte Crown will be competing in UpShot League, a new professional women’s basketball league based in the southeast. UpShot features both former WNBA players and college stars. This league will give athletes who didn’t land a spot in the WNBA a chance to play professionally in the United States.
UpShot League is launching in May, 2026, with four founding teams:
- Jacksonville Waves
- Savannah Steel
- Greensboro Groove
- Charlotte Crown
In 2027, teams will be added in Baltimore and Nashville.
Charlotte Crown’s home games will be played in Bojangles Coliseum, with the home opener against Jacksonville Waves taking place May 21, 2026, at 7 p.m.
Fan Fest
Before the game, enjoy a free Fan Fest outside Bojangles Coliseum. Fan Fest will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will feature:
- Live DJ
- Photo ops
- Charm Bar
- Interactive live art
- Drumline performance
- Face painting
- Cornhole
- Novant Health Reaction Challenge
- Merch stand
