Charlotte Blues Society presents a blues show the first Sunday of every month, except July, at The Rabbit Hole in Plaza Midwood, 1801 Commonwealth Avenue.
$10 for non-members, free for members, but a suggested donation of $5.
January 5th, 2020: Chad Andrew Harris & The Blue Herons
Chad Andrew Harris was new to the CBS stage a couple of months ago when he brought his guitar for a CBS Blues Jam.
The thought of being in the Blues Challenge interested him, so he reached out to several talented musicians to form an outstanding band.
Congratulations to Chad Andrew Harris and The Blue Herons on winning the Blues Band Challenge! Memphis bound in late January. See them perform at our January 5th Blues Sunday, along with Charlotte Blues Society’s Youth Blues Group: Crank Sinatra.
- Doors open: 6 p.m.
- 7 p.m.: Crank Sinatra
- 8 p.m.: Chad Andrew Harris & the Blue Herons
The bands will hit the home stage one last time before heading to the IBC later in the month.
Crank Sinatra is a tight and talented youth group. They have already earned fans in the die hard blues crowd, and bring their talent and enthusiasm with them as they kick the evening off. They will head to Memphis to perform with talent from around the world in the Blues Youth Group Showcase on Friday, January 31st prior to the semi-finals.
Representing Charlotte Blues Society in Band competition this year is Chad Andrew Harris and the Blue Herons. Winner of the band challenge held in October, they have been intent on putting together a solid set, along with a tight show.
After their set which they will receive their funds for winning the band challenge.
Charlotte Blues Society will be taking donations throughout the night to be split evenly between both bands for the trip.
Food Drive at Every Event
Charlotte Blues Society is collecting for Loaves & Fishes. Please bring at least 1 can non-perishable food item to every event.
Cans of any variety:
- Pasta (spaghetti O’s, Mac & Cheese)
- Cooking oil
- Paper towels
- Toilet tissue
- Tooth paste
- Tooth brushes
- The packs of plastic utensils you get with takeout food.
