If cooking dinner doesn’t sound like a holiday to you here’s a list of Charlotte area restaurants open on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26th, 2015. Many of these restaurants will fill up early, so make sure to make reservations right away. There are a few takeout options included in this list as well.
Local Restaurants
- 5Church: 3 course menu. $40/adults. $15/kids.
- Amelie’s French Bakery: The main location, at 2424 North Davidson, is open 24 hours a day, every day. They serve sandwiches and salads, as well as treats and desserts.
- The Asbury
- Big View Diner: Thanksgiving dinner to go for 12 for $249. Pick up Thanksgiving Day.
- Bistro le Bon: Thanksgiving Smorgasbord 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. $32/adults. $17/kids. Also a Thanksgiving takeout option, which you much order in advance.
- Blue: Thanksgiving Jazz Brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. #39.95/adults. $14.95/kids.
- The Blu Taj: Indian restaurant offering Thanksgiving dinner

Chain Restaurants
- BLT Steak will serve a 3-course prix fixe menu with family sides
- Bob Evans restaurants will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving with a choice of turkey, ham or pork, choice of three sides, endless breads and dessert for $14.99. The kids meal is $6.99.
- Bojangles: Participating stores sell a seasoned fried turkey for your feast.
- Boston Market offers several ways to purchase a holiday meal this season. Stop in on Thanksgiving Day for the Thanksgiving Day Meal, featuring turkey breast, two sides, cornbread and a slice of apple or pumpkin pie for $11.99. For those planning a feast, consider the Oven to Table option for 12 at $109.99. It’s a complete meal with a whole roasted turkey, several sides, rolls and two whole pies. Just heat and serve. Hot & Ready is the catered buffet style meal you can order for delivery. If you just need an item a la carte, you can get that, too.
- Buca di Beppo plans to serve a family style meal ($57 for service for three) starting at 11 a.m. The turkey dinner comes with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, whole cranberry sauce, spicy Italian sausage stuffing, and pumpkin pie for dessert.
- Cracker Barrel starts serving its Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at 11 a.m., on Turkey Day. For $11.99 ($6.99 for children). The traditional meal includes turkey breast, cornbread dressing (stuffing), turkey gravy, sugar-cured ham, vegetables of choice, sweet potato casserole, cranberry relish, biscuits or corn muffins, a slice of pumpkin pecan streusel pie with whipped cream, and beverage. You can also order pies and ham for take-out. A 24-hour advance notice is required.
- Golden Corral offers an endless bounty in its Thanksgiving buffet. Carved turkey or ham, sliced turkey, fried chicken, roast beef, meatloaf, and even steak and shrimp are featured, as well as more than a dozen side dishes – stuffing, potatoes, casseroles and corn on the cob. It’s the “Endless Buffet,” so you can plan to go back for seconds or thirds.
- McCormick & Schmick’s serves a roasted turkey dinner for $24.99 to $28.99 (varies by location), $9.99 for children 12 and under. Included in the meal: butternut squash bisque or walnut mixed greens salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread stuffing, seasoned vegetables, apple squash casserole and cranberry sauce. Dessert (pumpkin pie, $2.99) and cocktail service are extra.
- Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse offers a traditional three-course turkey dinner with a starter, main course and dessert for $39.95 to $41.95 according to location. Children 12 and under eat for $12.95.
- Shoney’s Restaurants dishes up a Southern-style buffet meal, including turkey, fried chicken, collared greens, sweet potato casserole and more. Plus, all buffet diners get a free slice of pumpkin pie. Prices vary starting at $10.99. It’s free for kids 4 and under. Dine in or take it home. They also offer whole pumpkin pies, if that’s all you need.
