Carolina Film Festival is a free festival that takes place at Johnson & Wales University Charlotte, 801 W. Trade Street, on Saturday, October 13th, 2018, from 2:45 p.m. to 6 p.m.
No ticket is required.

3:00pm – 6:00pm – Festival
The festival will be hosted by actress and award wining model Hope Jordan.
Red Carpet live performances by ISH.
The festival will be awarding filmmakers in the following categories:
- Best Short
- Best Music Video
- Best Trailer
- Best Drone
- Best Director
- Most Creative
There will be a Q&A session with special guests:
- Eric Small (Executive producer for films on Netflix, BET, TVONE, etc.),
- Joslyn Hall (Actress on FX’s tv show “Atlanta” by Donald Glover) and
- Marcus A. Small (Directed multiple tv shows for MTV, VH1, Lifetime and also produced music videos for P. Diddy, T-Pain and more).
The Humanitarian Award recipient is NC’s very own Tonya Rivens who is a Radio personality on Streetz 103.3 Charlotte and TV personality on WCCB, Charlotte’s CW WCCB News Rising. More importantly Tonya Rivens is also the owner of Ausie Rivens Community/Scholarship Foundation.
