For one day only, Carnivorous Plants by Kenny Coogan is popping up at Charlotte Regional Farmers’ Market, 1801 Yorkmont Road, Charlotte, North Carolina. The pop-up will be there July 18, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Step into the strange and fascinating world of plants that eat insects. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just plant-curious, this is your chance to see (and take home) species you won’t find at your average garden center.
Special feature: PING-A-PALOOZA — a vibrant display of large, colorful butterworts (Pinguicula) that are as beautiful as they are effective at catching gnats!
You’ll also find:
- Tropical pitcher plants (Nepenthes), including hanging baskets
- Sticky, shimmering sundews (Drosera)
- Iconic Venus flytraps
- North American pitcher plants (Sarracenia)
