Santé, 165 North Trade Street, is a hidden gem in downtown Matthews. If you’re looking for an excellent, chef-prepared dinner in a warm, intimate setting, you can do no better in Matthews, and it’s well-worth the short drive from Charlotte. Chef Adam Reed uses fresh ingredients, many from Matthews Farmers Market or his own garden. Right now there’s a way to get a free dessert at Santé. The owners’ daughter, Erin Reed, is an actor who has spent a year working and studying in New York City, and is planning to move to Los Angeles in September to pursue film acting. To help finance her move she’s making some of her visual art available for purchase.

Choices include stickers (just $2.40), notebooks, leggings, shower curtains, beach towels, iPod cases, scarves, and much more. Some of the items would make unique back-to-school supplies. If you don’t see what you want the design on in one of those stores, look at the other; they carry different items.
After you purchase the item, just bring your email receipt to Santé for your free dessert. One free dessert per receipt.
