Book Buyers, the incredible, massive book store at 1306 The Plaza, is moving. It will be closed in January, in preparation for its move to Eastway Crossing, 3040 Eastway Drive, in February. They expect to open at the new location on February 1st, 2022.

It will join other great businesses there, including:
- Bart’s Mart
- Eastside Local Eatery
- VisArt Video
- Tommy’s Pub
- Open Door Studios
- The Dog Salon
- Armada Skate Shop
Eastway Crossing has become a haven for former Plaza Midwood businesses. And there’s plenty of free parking.
This week, starting December 28th, 2021, all used books are 50% off! Their hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. They expect to be open every day this week, including Saturday, January 1st, 2022.
You might want to follow them on Facebook to see updates on the sale and the move.
Would you like to help them move inventory? When you visit, just let them know! They plan to start moving Sunday, January 2nd.
Besides a huge collection of books, Book Buyers is known for its bookstore cats (sometimes up for adoption), the actual airplane (owner Richard Rathers has been building a Piper J-3 Cub, piece by piece, Frankenstein-style, with parts from other planes from the same era), and The Greener Apple, which offers vegan and eco-friendly goods.
The airplane has been sold to someone who will hopefully complete the build and get it in the air, so it won’t be at the new location. The Greener Apple will be there, and you can also shop for its products online.
