National Banana Bread Day is February 23rd, 2023, and you can help judge a banana bread competition to help celebrate the day!
Dole Food Company and Community Culinary School of Charlotte are hosting a public bakeoff and blind taste test on February 21st and 22nd, 2023, at the CCSC Café, 9315 Monroe Road, Unit D, Charlotte.
During the café’s opening hours those days, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., stop by and taste test the two banana breads, which are going head to head for top honors.
The two banana breads:
- Dole’s Loaded Banana Bread: made with DOLE® Bananas, eggs, almond milk yogurt and crushed pecans
- The student-created CCSC Class #73 Banana Bread featuring DOLE® Bananas, avocado oil, maple syrup and sweet potato, the official vegetable of the State of North Carolina.
It’s free to taste and vote, but other treats from Community Culinary School of Charlotte will be available for purchase. The regular menu includes coffee, bakery items, sandwiches, salads, soups, and grab-and-go family meals.
