The popular Art After Dark program returns to Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture.
On Friday, March 22, 2024, from 6 to 10 p.m., the Gantt Center is hosting Art After Dark: Southern Digital. This is a free event for ages 21+.

This edition of Art After Dark celebrates a year of the Gantt Center’s digital arts studio, MODA (Mecca of Digital Arts.)
Art After Dark: Southern Digital will highlight southern digital content, influencers, music and more.
Art After Dark Schedule
- 6 pm – 10 pm (1st Floor Lobby): Divinely Supported Plant Installation by Root Papi
- 6 pm – 10 pm (MODA lounge, 2nd Floor): Painted Installation by $oho
- 6 pm – 10 pm (3rd Floor Mezzanine): Everyday Items Installation by Kalin Renee Devone
- 6 pm – 10 pm (MODA, 2nd Floor): MODA 1st Anniversary Immersive Experience with Lusenii and Alexander Newman Hall
- 6 pm – 7:30 pm (Gallery West, 3rd Floor)
- Activate the Image 1 – Christopher Myers: Please Trouble Carry Me
- Flex your writer muscle with a short story or poem in response to this compelling exhibition. Led by recording artist and poet Curtis Lavon.
- 6:30 pm – 8 pm (2nd Floor Lobby): Southern Archivists: Discussing Diversified Archiving
- 6:30 pm – 8 pm (4th Floor): The Vibe Sessions Pop Up by Khalif J. Guiden
- 7 pm – 8:30 pm (Performance Suite, 2nd Floor): Carolina Noise: Screening & Talkback with Nigel Malone
- 8 pm – 9:30 pm (Gallery West, 3rd Floor): Activate the Image 2 – Christopher Myers: Please Trouble Carry Me
- 8:30 pm – 10 pm (2nd Floor Lobby): The Bleus Live: Musical Performance
- 8:30 pm – 10 pm (4th Floor): Southern Digital Rooftop Vibes with DJ Niyahwhya
