Matthews Comic-Con - free event March 7

Town of Matthews Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department is presenting Matthews Comic-Con on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.

It will take place at the Matthews Community Center, 100 E McDowell Street, Matthews, North Carolina.

This event will feature:

Comics
Small shop vendors
Comic artists
Cosplay contest
Food trucks
Cosplay wrestling
Kids’ zone
Car show
More!

Costumes are encouraged, but all costume props must be either wooden or plastic. No metal weaponry.

Parking for this event will be available on Trade Street, in the First Baptist Church parking lot, at Stumptown Park and limited parking will be available in the parking lot behind the Matthews Community Center. Public parking is available along Trade Street and in the public parking lot near the railroad tracks.
