Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation holds several “Learn to Ride” events at recreation centers throughout the year.
At these free events, you’ll be given instruction on how to teach your child to ride safely. If you don’t have a bike, you can borrow one during the event, but if you have one, please bring it.
Also, while supplies last, kids can get a FREE bike helmet at the events. Staff will make sure that the helmet is fitted properly.
Registration is required.
Learn to Ride is made possible in partnership with Bicycle Sport and Trips for Kids Charlotte, with support from Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation, Mecklenburg County Public Health, and well-run media + marketing.
