Free Comic Book Day is back on Saturday, May 2, 2026! On Free Comic Book Day, participating stores give away free comic books to guests, and some host additional activities, like sketches from artists, and more. Libraries also participate.
Below is a list of stores and libraries in the Charlotte area that are participating in Free Comic Book Day. For questions about what they’ll have going on, or their hours, please contact the venue directly. To find more participating stores, you can search here.
Also, it might not be directly participating in Comic Book Day, but Cabarrus Brewing Co., 329 McGill Avenue NW, Concord, NC, is hosting the 10th Annual Concord Micro-Con on May 2, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Free Comic Book Day in Charlotte

Pick up some free new and used comics, manga, and graphic novels. There will also be superhero entertainment. In addition, Allegra Westbrooks is hosting Comic Day Clash (fighting games across multiple generations of systems.)
