Get free “money” to shop at Kohl’s! Normally, Kohl’s customers earn “cash back” to spend on their next shopping trip, based on how much they spend.

However, on Aug. 22 and 23, 2026, customers don’t have to buy anything to earn Kohl’s Cash. All they simply have to do is walk through the doors to earn a little extra “cash” to spend.

Back to School Sale

Kohl’s is hosting a back-to-school sale, both online and in-store.

Kohl’s Cash Giveaway

On Aug. 22 and 23, 2026, Kohl’s is hosting its (very popular) Kohl’s Cash Giveaway each day.

Here’s how to get your FREE Kohl’s Cash:

Visit a Kohl’s store and receive a Kohl’s Cash coupon from an associate as you enter. You don’t have to purchase anything to receive Kohl’s Cash.

Note: Some locations are very large, so, if you enter and don’t see an associate handing out coupons, be sure to ask where you can get one. They coupons may also have been all distributed for the day by the time you visit.

Check the store’s opening hour. If you want the best chance at receiving Kohl’s Cash, arrive as it opens. Most stores open at 9 a.m. Find a Kohl’s location here.

Coupons will be distributed daily, while supplies last. The coupons are restocked each giveaway date. So, if all the coupons have already been distributed when you arrive, you still have a chance to get one on another day during the promo.

Coupons have a value of $5, $10, $15, $25 or $100. Open the Kohl’s Cash card to reveal what you’ve received.

The Kohl’s Cash coupon is instantly redeemable, but must be used in-store the same day it’s received. Only one giveaway coupon can be used in a transaction. Kohl’s Cash is not legal tender and you won’t receive cash back on purchases.

Limit one giveaway coupon per household, per day.

Kohl’s Cash may not be redeemed for:

Sephora at Kohl’s merchandise
Kohl’s Cares® cause merchandise or other charitable items
Gift Cards
Price adjustments
Payments to a Kohl’s credit card or any third-party charge account
Services or fees, including taxes and shipping
