
We Shred CLT is a mountain bike celebration for women and girls. It takes place Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Beatty Park, 4330 Weddington Road, Matthews, North Carolina. It’s free to attend. You can come for any length of time. Please register here.
Pro downhill racer and mountain bike skills coach Carolina Washam, as well as a team of certified mountain bike skills coaches and community leaders will be leading a fun day of riding bikes, progressing on bikes, talking about bikes and relaxing.

Free clinics are 1 to 1.5 hours and focus on one of the skills below. Space in each session is limited, so make sure to show up early to sign up on site.
- MTB Fundamentals: Braking, shifting, balance/stability. Learn the basics in a controlled setting.
- Cornering: Work on body position, braking, and pressure control techniques to help you feel more confident and consistent on berms and flat turns.
- Bridges and skinnies: Intimidated by wooden features? Beatty Park has a lot! From safety tips to balancing techniques, have fun sessioning some skinnies!
- Pumping: Maintaining and increasing speed without pedaling… it’s one of the best feelings on a mountain bike. Learn pumping techniques for better flow on Beatty’s pump track!
- Rocks, Rolls, and Drops: For intermediate+ and advanced riders looking for more performance on some of Beatty’s more intimidating features. Learn how to progress from rolling to getting wheels in the air!

Itinerary
- 9 a.m.: Check in! Sign-ups for morning clinics and group rides open.
- 9:45 a.m.: Welcome chat with Caroline!
- 10 a.m.: Morning clinics depart. (Fundamentals, Cornering, Bridges/Skinnies)
- 10:30 a.m.: No-drop group rides depart.
- 12 p.m.: Workshops/ Info Sessions/ Lunch time
- 1 p.m.: Afternoon clinics depart. (Fundamentals, Pumping, Rocks/Rolls/Drops)
- 1:30 p.m.: No-drop group rides depart
- 4 p.m.: Collect phone numbers from new friends to plan your next ride!
