South Block, which offers acai bowls, smoothies and cold-pressed juice, is celebrating its grand opening in Plaza Midwood on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The shop is located at 1711 Commonwealth Avenue, Suite 140, Charlotte, North Carolina.
To commemorate its 25th store, South Block will host a grand opening celebration on opening day, offering free Mini Acai Bowls for the first 100 guests, music, exclusive giveaways, swag, and more.
The grand opening takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Announced on Instagram.
Opening hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
This is the shop’s first second location in Charlotte. The first one is in the Bowl at Ballantyne.

South Block Plaza Midwood plans to do good by donating a percentage of its sales to the local nonprofit, Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, and the company’s nonprofit, Fruitful Planet.
