Myers Park Presbyterian Church is partnering with RAWtools South to host Guns to Gardens, a chance to safely, anonymously surrender unwanted firearms.
Gun Surrender Event
This drive-thru event takes place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Myers Park Presbyterian Church Outreach Center, 1073 Providence Road, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Community members may safely and anonymously donate unwanted firearms without leaving their vehicle. Firearms will be dismantled in real time and later transformed by skilled blacksmiths into garden tools, art, and jewelry.
RAWtools’ mission is to “disarm hearts and forge peace” by repurposing weapons into life-giving tools and meaningful works of art.
This event is designed to provide a safe, respectful, and community-centered opportunity for firearm surrender. No questions asked.
Blacksmithing Demo
Then, the next day, Sunday, May 31, 2026, Myers Park Presbyterian Church will hold a free, family-friendly blacksmithing demo on their main campus, 2501 Oxford Place, Charlotte, North Carolina, at 11:15 a.m.
RAWtools South blacksmithing artist Scotty Utz will demonstrate how unwanted firearms are transformed into garden tools and art. Kids can even try their hands at blacksmithing! Enjoy demonstrations, treats, & opportunities to connect & find common ground with neighbors.
