Charlotte Studio Artists is a collaborative studio and exhibit space for artists across a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, collage and assemblage. They are partnering with the Johnston YMCA in an effort to further the arts in NoDa.
Find them at 3045 N. Davidson Street, Charlotte, North Carolina. They are on the Johnston YMCA campus. Just look for the little building next to the big building.

3rd Thursday Gallery Crawl
On Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5 to 8:30 p.m., Charlotte Studio Artists is hosting 3rd Thursday Gallery Crawl. It’s free to attend.
Wander through the three galleries and seventeen studios and view works by 30+ resident artists. Enjoy light bites and music while experiencing great art. Meet the artists and stop in the workshop to participate in hands-on projects. Enjoy light snacks.
Opening Reception for “Unusual and Unexpected”
In addition, during the March 19th gallery crawl, enjoy the opening reception for “Unusual and Unexpected.”
Unusual & Unexpected is art that zigzags instead of going straight. The oddballs, the risk-takers, the beautiful mistakes, the pieces that makes viewer tilt their head and say, “Wait… what?”
Be surprised by:
- Strange materials doing unfamiliar things
- Ideas that twist midway through
- Humor, awkwardness, disruption, delight
- Work that refuses to explain itself right away
