Two-Night Stay in a Regular Room. Combine Up to Four Nights.

I see so many daily deals but I purchase very few myself. I couldn’t resist this one. My husband and I had been looking for a mini-getaway and Balsam Mountain Inn sounded perfect. The online reviews are stellar. People say things about the historic charm, friendly inn-keepers, and especially the amazing mountain views. Balsam Mountain Inn is a restored 1905 inn. The breakfast, which is included in the price, is said to be incredible.

One of my worries when I purchase a Groupon for a hotel stay is being able to get reservations for the specific dates I will be traveling, but I’ve never actually had a problem. I called Balsam Mountain Inn right before I bought the Groupon to make sure that my preferred weekend was available and it was. I had no problems making the reservation.

I can’t give a review of my stay yet, but Balsam Mountain Inn looks like a peaceful, beautiful place and I’m looking forward to visiting.

    Travel on the cheap (Treasure Island, FL, Caribbean)

    I’ve really started looking at LivingSocial’s travel deals. These are weekend getaways at half price. Two that are available for purchase today (12/3/10, and for 4 more days):

    Uncover a Treasure Island Gem 2 nights at a 2 bedroom condo in resort at Treasure Island, FL for $249 (at least a $500 value) This for Crystal Palms Resort, which is on the beach.
