THE Geek Fest 2013 is CPCC’s 10th annual celebration of technology and innovation on Thursday, November 14th, 2013. The free community event takes place at CPCC’s Levine and Central Campuses. There will be free sessions all day. See the schedule for the full list. The Levine campus event begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.. A new evening technology and business networking series will also be held the same day at CPCC’s Central Campus at uptown Charlotte from 5 to 8 p.m. In addition to the sessions, there are ongoing festivities all day, including chess matches, Kinect for Xbox 360, Mecklenburg Amateur Radio Society and more.
The Levine Campus is at 2800 Campus Ridge Road in Matthews. The Central Campus is on Elizabeth Road in Charlotte. You can find maps for both locations here.
Attendees will interact with exciting new technologies, meet innovative companies and learn from industry experts. This year’s event will highlight a variety of exciting topics, including launching a startup business, product development, social media, programming and software development, animation, automotive technology, engineering, mobile computing, instructional technology and much more. Activities will include guest speakers, an exhibit hall, demonstrations, activities, video games, music, contests, food and door prizes. The greater Charlotte community is encouraged to participate in this free all-ages event.
