All locations of Guitar Center are offering free workshops on recording music. The workshops, which use Pro Tools 10, take place on Saturday mornings at 10am. There is limited space and you need to sign up in advance.

You can reserve your space by signing up online. Each of the four workshops is different. They will be repeated each month. The Charlotte area locations are at 10050 E. Independence Blvd in Matthews and 8813 JW Clay Boulevard in Charlotte.

The topics are:

  1. I would love to learn to use recording and sound equipment. I am a singer from the Charlotte area, and have worked with Bill Hanna, Greg James, Rob Thorn, Pat Walters, Jim Stack, etc., and toured with a band from Greensboro called The Lengendary Black and Blue Band, who have been on the road for 50 years and are still working. We were on the same circut as The Embers, The Band of Oz, The Poor Souls, The the Fantastic Shakers, and the Tams. We had sound and light people, and I’ve never learned as much as I should about the business of recording and sound. Thank you, Marta Christmas
