Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is a great place to bring your family. On Family Days, it’s even better because kids are free and there are special child-friendly activities. The next one is Saturday, January 12th, 2013, from 12pm to 4:30pm. Admission is free for those under age 18 and only $4 for adults.

Explore the art and artists in the Bechtler collection with your children through special art activities and family-focused museum tours during Family Day Saturday, January 12 from noon to 4:30 p.m. Drop in anytime during the afternoon.

Art activities will illustrate the methods and materials addressed by artist Alberto Giacometti whose work is on view in the exhibition “Giacometti: Memory and Presence.” Children ages 5 and older can create oil pastel monochromatic portraits, watercolor still life and pipe cleaner dancers. Interact with art in the Bechtler collection by participating in a museum-wide scavenger hunt and family-focused tour.

Admission to Family Day is free for children. Adults receive a discounted ticket price of $4. Museum members are free.
