Free Comic Book Day CharlotteFree Comic Book Day, on May 4th, 2013, will be celebrated at comic book stores all over the country with free comic books and other events. I’ll write about what different stores in the Charlotte region are doing as I learn about them. Spandex City Comics has publicized its plans already. It’s at a new location, 2914-A Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, so take note of that.

They will be celebrating on May 4th, 2013, from 11am to 4pm. Here’s what they say: Celebrate Free Comic Book Day with the 501st Stormtrooper Legion and other familiar characters at Spandex City’s *NEW & IMPROVED* location! We’ll have door prizes, a trivia contest, kids’ activities, trading card sketch artists, and FREE COMICS for everyone). Proceeds from the day’s sales benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Charlotte, and the first 25 customers to spend $25 or more will get a FREE limited-edition commemorative Star Wars/FCBD patch! May the 4th be with you!

There is a lot more details on Spandex City Comics’ web page so check it out.
