Concord NC Christmas fireworksConcord welcomes the holiday season with their annual Concord Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Friday, November 16th, 2012. At 5:30pm, children’s activities start, including trolley and carriage rides. At 6pm, entertainment begins, including music from The Choral Academy, Gary Gilmore and local schools. At 7:30pm the tree will be lit and there will be a fireworks display. Also from 6pm to 9pm is Concord Art Walk. Over 20 downtown Concord galleries will be welcoming guests to view the artwork and, in some cases, enjoy live music. The Concord Art Walk map tells you what’s going on in the participating galleries, and where to find them. In addition, after the Art Walk, at 9pm, the film Snitch will be shown, for free, at Davis Theatre, 65 Union St Street. Set in and filmed around China Grove, NC this is the story of a young man torn between loyalty to the crime family who raised him and his conscience. Featuring Edward Furlong, Ed Asner and Meat Loaf.
