Charlotte ice skatingCharlotte ice skating returns with Holiday on Ice, an outdoor rink at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza, 400 East Martin Luther King Blvd. The first day is Wednesday, November 21st, 2012, the day before Thanksgving, and the last day is January 6th, 2013. In between, it’s open most days, with the exception of some Mondays and Tuesday. Hours vary, but you can see the schedule here. The cost is $12, but if you have your own skates it’s $9. The tickets are good all day. You can leave and return and skate more.

On Friday evenings, enjoy Masterbuilt Family Fry-Days. There will be additional activities like performances or carriage rides. In addition, check out the list of all events. There are too many to list here, but on particular days you’ll get the opportunity to receive a free scarf from Piedmont Gas, get free skate rental if you’re a Time Warner Cable customer, see a marching band Battle of the Bands and more.Every Sunday, Veterans, Military, Police, Fire And EMT Personnel get free skate rental.

Parking is available the NASCAR Hall of Fame with a $15/day maximum. There are also other parking options nearby, and a Lynx station not too far away.
