Events include organized bike rides, bicycle maintenance clinics and BikeFEST, a street festival in Plaza Midwood. Here are a list of some of the free activities throughout the three week period. Make sure to follow the links to find the exact times, locations and other details. Also, there are more events on the Bike! Charlotte website, so please check it out.

Friday, April 25

Bike Rally and Ride to Breakfast. A short from Dowd YMCA to City Hall. Mix with lawmakers and enjoy a free breakfast at Lola’s. 7:30am

Saturday, April 26

Kids’ Bicycle Safety and Educational Rodeo. University YMCA. For kids age 7-12 who ride without training wheels. A limited supply of free helmets will be available for participating kids. 10am to 2pm

Sunday, April 27

Tour de Trees. Guided bike ride through historic areas of Charlotte. 10am to 12pm

BikeFEST: Street festival on Thomas Avenue in Plaza Midwood. Bike rodeo and parade. Bike Drive for Trips for Kids Charlotte – donate your dusty (not rusty) bike, a Kids Bicycle Safety Rodeo, Bus Cycles, B Cycle Bikes, Cargo Challenge, Bike Wash and Lube Station, Flat Tire Challenge, music, food, kids crafts and activities. 2pm to 5pm

Tuesday, April 29

Plaza Midwood Tuesday Night Ride. Helmets and lights are required. 8pm to 10pm

Dirt Divas Trail Ride. North Meck Park, 6pm.

Wednesday, April 30

Bike Law Lunchtime Mountain Bike Ride. 12pm

Free Wednesday Bicycle Repair Clinic at Ultimate Bicycle on Monroe Road. 5:30pm

Mountain Bike Ride at Beatty Park 6:30pm

Thursday, May 1

Tarheel Trailblazer Social and Urban Ride, Dilworth Neighborhood Grille. 7pm

Sunday, May 4

Kids’ Bicycle Safety and Educational Rodeo. Johnston YMCA. For kids age 7-12 who ride without training wheels. A limited supply of free helmets will be available for participating kids. 11pm to 1pm

Tuesday, May 6

Plaza Midwood Tuesday Night Ride. Helmets and lights are required. 8pm to 10pom

Dirt Divas Trail Ride. Renaissance Park 6pm.

Wednesday, May 7

Bike Law Lunchtime Mountain Bike Ride. 12pm

The Spoke Easy, We Love Bicycles, Party. Party at Spoke Easy includes free beer. 5pm to 9pm
