Book Blast at Concord Mills 2/23/13

Concord Mills is holding Book Blast, a literacy event, on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013, from 11am to 1pm, in the Food Court. This event is free for Kidgit Club members. It costs $5 to join Kidgit Club for a year. Book Blast will feature excerpts from popular Dr. Seuss classics such as The Cat in The Hat, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Green Eggs and Ham, Oh Say Can You Say?, The Foot Book, Dr. Seuss’s ABC and The Lorax. Plus, event attendees will enjoy live musical entertainment presented by local children’s performer, Mr. Nigel, Dr. Seuss-themed games, interactive activity sheets and the opportunity to decorate a free library tote bag to take home (while supplies last). Children are also encouraged to bring a new or gently used book to the event for donation to local Concord day care centers, further fostering the importance of reading within the community.
