Modern Film Fest will take place in Kannapolis Friday, October 5th, 2012, to October 7th. Its worthy goal is to make independent films available for viewing in Cabarrus County and North Carolina. It gets prominent notice on Charlotte on the Cheap because it’s making these films affordable to everyone. Each individual film is only $4. Also, they offer flexible pass packages. The Film Enthusiast Package, at $18, includes five passes. The Weekend Package, at $35, includes ten packages, and The Family Package, at $65, includes twenty passes. With each of these packages, you can use them however you want. You can buy the individual package and invite nine friends to go with you to one movie. Or you can invite one friend to go to five with you. You just go to the box office and exchange the passes for tickets to the shows that you want to see.

The films will be shown in the beautiful Gem Theatre, 111 West 1st Street in Kannapolis. The Gem is one of a kind: just one screen, but 900 seats and a balcony.
