Think your kids have really had enough sugar? Perhaps you can interest them in a Halloween candy buy back. Many local dentists are participating. Kids bring their candy to the dentist’s office (generally you don’t have to be a patient of that dentist) and the dentist pays them a certain amount per pound of candy. The dentists then send the candy to overseas troops. Use the above link to find a participating dentist near you.

Another option: Earth Fare will trade healthy treats for your kids’ candy on November 1st, 2012. All three Charlotte area Earth Fare locations are participating, but details might vary. They are taking place during Thursday night “kids eat free,” which is one of the best “kids eat free” deals in the area. You can get kids’ meals for up to six kids with every adult purchase.
