Girls can try hockey for free at Extreme Ice Center 10/14/12

Girls’ Hockey Day at Extreme Ice Center gives girls a chance to try ice hockey for free. They’ll learn skills with female coaches and current players. The event is Sunday, October 14th, 2012, from 12:30pm to 1:50pm. Extreme Ice Center is at 4751 Indian Trail- Fairview Rd in Indian Trail. Register online.

Extreme Ice Center tells a little bit about its hockey program:

Youth hockey is on the rise in Charlotte area with help of the American Development Model founded by USA Hockey. The ADM model allows youth hockey players to focus on skill development rather than competition at a young age. In addition, the CMHA offers an entry-level program to provide free equipment with skill development classes for new youth players.
