The 4th Annual Charlotte Mecklenburg American Indian Heritage month celebration will take place on Saturday November 3rd, 2012, from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte campus. This celebration will take an innovative approach at sharing tradition and contemporary American Indian heritage and culture. Guests will be invited to watch traditional music and dance performances while learning about traditional American Indian Regalia, their historic significance, and participating in group dances. Guests may participate in interactive art displays, family activities, children’s crafts, and educational workshops. Contemporary artists will perform and teach how their heritage and culture are represented in their respective mediums. This map shows more specifically where, on the UNCC campus, the event will be held.
