The very popular Food Lion Auto Fair will be at Charlotte Motor Speedway from September 20th, 2012, until September 23rd. The auto fair will run from 8am to 6pm Thursday through Saturday and 8am to 4pm Sunday. Ticket prices are only $10 for adults; children under 13 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Parking for the event is $5. Some highlights are a tribute to automotive icon Carroll Shelby, hand-made cars, Batmobiles, vintage motorcycles, a squirrel on water skis, movies on the big screen and the POWERADE Play Zone, including a petting zoo, pony rides, Ferris wheel, bounce houses, face painting, wax hands and balloon animals.
Two Charlotte on the Cheap readers will each win a four-pack of tickets to the Food Lion Auto Fair.

Vroom Vroom! I went a couple years ago and had a blast. There was even a vendor who sold “deep fried butter”. Planning on going again this year, but of course … free is always better.

My family and I love the Food Lion Auto Fair we go ever year. Last year I won a cooler full of goodies and a Food Lion girft card. My two daughters participated in the hula hoop contest to win a grill they didn’t win but we had lots of fun. My youngest daughter was able to ride the pony, pet the aminals and a gentlemen made a heart hat out of a ballon. We took lots of pictures in the photo book and the food was great!!!!!! We love the atomsphere and enjoy having fun!!!
We would love to go again so we can try to win that grill or something else.

My wife and I along with our two daughters go to the auto fair every year. It is a wonderful event. Great family atmosphere and a true car lover’s paradise! You can find the smallest part for a vehicle or buy the whole thing.They have pets there… Some even put on a show!
