Contest: Admission to Bechtler Museum of Modern Art (3 winners will each win 2 tickets)
Be one of the first to see the new exhibit at Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Giacometti: Memory and Presence. This exhibition, which opened August 31st, 2012, and continues through February 8th, 2012, features sculptures, paintings, prints, drawings and decorative objects by Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966), who is considered one of the most important figures in 20th-century modernism. The works reveal the aesthetic evolution, emotional power and existential qualities of his work. The show captures the maturation from his childhood artistic explorations up through his greatest accomplishments as a modern art master. The Bechtler is the only place you’ll be able to see this exhibit.
Throughout the run of the Giacometti: Memory and Presence, Bechtler Museum will offer programming in conjunction with the exhibit, including hands-on art projects, discussions, music programs, lectures and family activities.
Bechtler Museum’s permanent exhibit provides a focused look into modernism through the lens of the collection of the Bechtler family’s holdings. The museum’s cafe and store are definitely worth a visit, and you don’t need to pay admission to visit them.
Would you like to visit the Bechtler for free? Three lucky Charlotte on the Cheap readers will each win two admission passes. In order to enter the contest:
