The Charlotte Museum of History has closed for several months in response to financial challenges, but they are opening for a special evening event on Saturday, September 15th, 2012, from 5pm to 9pm. An Historic Evening at the Alexanders’ will include free admission to the museum and grounds. A tour of the Hezekiah Alexander house will be $5 (free for museum members.) You don’t need to register in advance. Costumed docents will give visitors a peek into the lives of the Alexanders as the sun went down, including meals, entertaining and other activities in Colonial times. Bring your flashlights. All merchandise in the museum store will be 50% off. Come hungry because food trucks will be the premises.
