Festival of India 9/22/12 & 9/23/12

The 18th Annual Festival of India takes place on Saturday, September 22nd, 2012, from 12pm to 6pm,  and Sunday, September 23rd, from 12pm to 7pm. Organized by the India Association of Charlotte, a nonprofit, non-religious, non-political cultural organization, the festival attracts thousands of people every year. Enjoy the diversity of Indian food, art, dance, music and bollywood entertainment. Get a henna tattoo, watch a yoga demonstration and much more. The inside part of the festival will be in Knight Theater, 430 South Tryon Street, and will cost $5 (free for kids under age 10.) Outside Knight Theater the festivities are free.
