Contest: Celebrate the grand opening of the new Goodwill in Huntersville by winning a $50 gift card

Let me list the ways I love Goodwill stores. I love savings loads of money on clothes. I love the new items from Target that show up on the shelves. I love the extremely odd and fun items that I occasionally find. I love the “clothes by the pound” at the Goodwill Outlet store. (That’s $1.39 a pound.) I love that 88 cents out of every dollar I spend goes toward helping people enter the work force. And on September 8th, 2012, I’ll have one more thing to love. Huntersville Goodwill, at 14420 N. Statesville Road, is celebrating its grand opening. A ribbon-cutting will start the festivities at 8:30am. Then the doors will open at 9am, and there will be music and giveaways from 9am until 12pm, with several chances to win a $250 USAir gift card. The Huntersville Goodwill, the 22nd Goodwill in the region, will have regular store hours of Monday through Thursday from 9:30am. to 9pm, Friday and Saturday from 9am to 9pm and Sunday from noon until 7pm.
Celebrate in advance by entering this contest to win a $50 gift card to any store that’s part of Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, including Computer Works and the Goodwill Outlet Store on Freedom Drive. Find the addresses of all the retail stores here.
Here’s how to enter.

2. Leave a comment to this post saying the best thing you ever found at a Goodwill store. If you haven’t shopped at Goodwill yet, leave a comment saying what you’d like to find.
3. The winner will be randomly selected from eligible entries on Monday, September 3rd. I’ll email the winner, who will have 48 hours to respond with a mailing address, where the gift card will be sent. If I don’t hear from the winner in that time frame I’ll move onto an alternate winner.
